New Waterjet Suits High-Production Needs
February 18, 2015Comments
Techni Waterjet, Lenexa, KS, has developed a new dual-tank waterjet-cutting machine to suit high production applications. The Model i713-G2 Dual Station boasts two 7- by 13-ft. tanks for a total cutting area of 14 by 26 ft. Add the capabilities of bevel cutting with the PAC 60 five-axis cutting head for ±60-deg. continuous rotation with taper elimination.
The i713 Dual Station allows for continuous production operation, as one tank can be loaded/unloaded while the other tank is cutting. The waterjet incorporates a number of features that allow one operator to control the entire system, including the Tech-Sense abrasive-monitoring system. To ensure quiet operation, the machine combines underwater cutting and the Quantum NXT pump, which operates at less than 68 dBA.
