Canadians Invest in AM, Induction Plasma Technology
July 9, 2018Comments
In June, the federal government of Canada announced a $21.1 million investment in Tekna Plasma Systems Inc., a Quebec-based advanced manufacturing company. Additionally, Quebec announced a $9.4 million investment, bringing the total value of the project up to $128.4 million. Tekna says the money will help the company produce metallic powders used in additive manufacturing (AM) and attract foreign investment, and fund R&D efforts in the hopes of finding further industries through which its induction plasma technology (ICP) can be applied.
