Power Hammer Forms Steel to 16-Gauge
power hammer from Dake Corp., Grand Haven, MI, can stretch, shrink, plannish, dome, jog, bead and shape sheetmetal using standard dies. Capacity is 16-gauge steel and 11-gauge aluminum. Hammer speed is 900 strokes/ min.; throat, 18 in.; maximum vertical opening, 7 in. For convenience, the power hammer is single-phase and mounted on a base with wheels for portability.
