Fabrisonic Earns ISO 9001:2015 Certification
July 27, 2021Comments
Fabrisonic LLC reports having achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, as the company continues commercializing ultrasonic additive manufacturing (UAM), a 3D metal printing process that joins thin metal foils to produce a 3D product.
In pursuing this standard, Fabrisonic aims to develop a quality-management system that focuses on the customer, continuous improvement and risk-based thinking in order to prevent quality problems, according to Mark Norfolk, Fabrisonic CEO. The scope of this registration covers UAM products, equipment, and R&D service.
“One unique aspect of Fabrisonic’s ISO scope is that the system did not just address production,” says Norfolk. “Unlike many companies, Fabrisonic chose to incorporate its R&D efforts. Our quality system, bolstered by the recent ISO 9001 certification, will further enhance our ability to serve our customers, continue to improve and impact future growth.”
