Servo Press Feeds Cobot-Tended Press Brake; New Laser Cutting Machine
October 16, 2025Comments
At FABTECH 2025, Amada America showcased its Synergy cell,
featuring an Amada Press System 80-ton servomechanical press and compact feeder
delivering 18-gauge mild-steel parts to an Amada America cobot-tended HRB 8025 88-ton
press brake for bending.
HRB-series press brakes, built at Amada’s Carolina Manufacturing Center in High Point, NC, are designed for versatility and ease of use. Paired with the company’s cobot system, the HRB 8025 becomes a high-precision automated bending system, allowing seamless transitions between automated and manual operation, according to company officials. The cobot system features a drag-and-drop programming interface that allows operators to quickly setup programs at the machine and streamline the bending process. Blanks can be delivered on a standard pallet and picked up directly with the cobot without having to hand-load blanks onto a gauging table.
Also highlighted, the Orsus 3015AJe fiber laser cutting machine, newly launched in North America. The machine lineup offers working ranges to 3070 by 1550 mm, and laser power of 3, 6 and 8 kW, with a low-center-of-gravity carriage to support high acceleration and deceleration. Its advanced features enable improved ease of use, automation compatibility, and intelligent processing such as a high-yield nesting system and Amada’s i-Camera Assisted System (i-CAS). With i-CAS, a centrally positioned camera captures an image of the whole cutting area, allowing the system to recognize free areas on the remnant and automatically nest parts selected by the operator. The machine also provides for remote monitoring.
