Medical-Manufacturing Facility Adds Five-Axis Lathe, Nine-Axis CNC Lathe

The Okay Industries medical-products manufacturing facility in Berlin, CT, has added two new machines to its production floor—a Miyano BND 51 five-axis lathe with twin spindles and live turret tooling; and a Tsugami SS207 5AX nine-axis Swiss machine with fully programmable B axis, for contouring and sculpting parts in one operation. The firm recently earned ISO 13485 registration for the Berlin facility as well as for its facility in New Britain, CT, and its Costa Rica facility recently earned ISO 9000-2008 registration.
