Four-Axis Fiber-Laser Welding System Headed to Italian Manufacturer

Mechanical-seal manufacturer Fluiten Italia S.p.A., Milan, Italy, has commissioned a new four-axis fiber-laser-welding system from Prima Power Laserdyne, Champlin, MN. The Laserdyne 430 machine will weld high-pressure and temperature-resistant components used in the manufacture of Fluiten seals. It operates at speeds to 800 in./min., accurate to 0.0005 in., with a work envelope of 23 by 16 by 20 in.
