Staubli Showcases Precision, Robotic Applications
June 26, 2025Comments
At Automate, Stäubli showcased numerous highly precise applications for robotics, including laser cutting (shown in the accompanying photo), and use of its TS2-60 robot in a hairpin electric-motor assembly application in which the robot picked copper hairpins from a queuing rack and placed them precisely into the correct slots of a stator, indexing one slot at a time. The process shows how robotic automation improves accuracy and cycle times in the production of critical motor components. Automate attendees also were able to see Stäubli’s PF3 Omni, a mobile robot platform with a 3-ton payload.
An additional a booth highlight was Stäubli’s interactive exhibit that illustrated how its technology enables the careful planning and execution of automation projects—from ideation, feasibility analysis, virtual commissioning with digital twins, and programming with its SRS 2025 Robotics Suite software.
Lastly, visitors experienced an interactive training cell where they were able to try out the new SP2 plus robotic teach pendant and direct a TX2-60 robot through a pick-and-place process.
