Custom metal fabricator D&S Mfg., Black River Falls, WI, has installed a new custom wire-mesh belt blaster, an ES-2050 model from Pangborn, Fairburn, GA. The two companies worked together to customize the unit to incorporate design features that simplify maintenance and improve performance. “It features a unique and open hexagonal design (rather than cubical) that allows operators to more easily access and maintain the unit,” says D&S engineer Rob Bucek. It can shot blast parts and complex weldments as large as 144 in. long by 48 in. wide by 36 in. tall.
