Upcoming Webinar: Maximizing the Performance of High-Speed Stamping
June 9, 2023Comments
Register for the information-packed webinar, Maximizing the Performance of High-Speed Stamping, slated for July 13, featuring presenters René Zwahlen, operations manager (Huntsville, AL) at Bruderer Machinery Inc., and president of Sangiacomo Presses Americas, and Pete Ulintz, PMA technical director. Attendees will learn fundamentals of high-speed press applications, including the construction of a high-speed press and its relationship to stamping-die performance. Also presented, die-specific topics such as stripper-plate design and piloting methods.
Zwahlen will lead off the webinar with his presentation, Fundamentals of High-Speed Stamping Presses. As high-speed stamping presses can operate at and even greater than 2000 strokes/min., such production speeds, dynamic forces and thermal influences dramatically affect the stamping process. This presentation will explore mechanisms to counteract these influences and explain why these types of presses are more precise than conventional stamping presses.
Following, Ulintz will present Maximizing the Performance of High-Speed Stamping Processes. Achieving maximum performance from high-speed stamping operations requires a higher level of attention to detail than with traditional stamping processes. This presentation, offering recommendations for achieving smooth feeding of thin materials at high speeds, will discuss stripper-plate design, forming methods, piloting and more.
The price to attend the Maximizing the Performance of High-Speed Stamping webinar is $99 for PMA members and $199 for nonmembers. For details and to register, or contact Marianne Sichi, 216/901-8800 ext. 150.
