Demand for Data-Center Power-Distribution Enclosures Drives Fabricator’s Growth

Sheet metal fabricator Innovated Machine & Tool Co., Inc., Newport News, VA, has completed a 30,000-sq.-ft. building expansion, bringing its total footprint to 90,000 sq. ft. The expansion creates room for new equipment to support the growing demand for fabricated data-center power-distribution enclosures, and will allow the firm to create 25 new jobs.
The building expansion will be dedicated to mechanical assembly, surface finishing and panel bending, as well as the storage of raw materials and finished products. Its new machinery lineup includes equipment for surface finishing, powder coating, automated laser cutting and punching, hardware insertion, welding and automated panel bending.
