General Stamping & Metalworks (GSM), South Bend, IN, has appointed Brett Hunter director of operations. He brings more than 30 yr. of leadership experience in manufacturing, specializing in plant turnarounds, process improvement and lean transformations. Hunter has held key operational roles throughout his career, including serving as general manager at Dragon Tanks and Trailers, director of manufacturing at American Cargo Group, and plant manager at BorgWarner.
As director of operations, Hunter will oversee GSM’s facility and implement strategies to enhance safety, efficiency and overall plant performance.
Established in 1922, GSM manufactures fabricated metal parts for OEMs across several industries, including outdoor power equipment, industrial equipment, agricultural equipment, recreational vehicles and solar energy.
