March 1, 2015Comments
As part of an expansion project slated for completion late in 2015, the Thyssen-Krupp Materials blanking facility in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico, soon will become the first Mexico-based facility to offer blanking of aluminum and advanced high-strength steels. The plant is at work constructing a 55,000-sq.-ft. addition that will house a new Schuler blanking line to boost its capacity by nearly 70 percent, to 270,000 metric tons/yr. The line will be capable of blanking high-strength steel to 1500-MPa tensile strength.
