Tucker to Direct North American Customer Service for SLM Solutions

New to SLM Solutions as director of customer service, aftermarket and operations for North America, Trevor Tucker. He brings extensive experience in all areas of additive manufacturing to the company. Tucker headlines the path forward for SLM Solutions’ customer-service efforts as outlined by Gerhard Bierleutge, executive vice president of global services and solutions, which includes weekly direct reporting of the group to company leadership in order bring leadership closer to issues of the North America customer base, and a doubling of the field-service-technician/engineer staff. Bierleutge also outlines related initiatives: The entire North American service team will be trained at the company’s headquarters in Lübeck, Germany, and SLM Solutions will build an on-demand repository of consumables, including spare parts and powder, to enable immediate availability.
