kuka-digital-automate-2025At Automate, automated bin picking, palletizing and welding, as well as demonstrations of autonomous mobile robots shared the spotlight at the Kuka booth.  Also noted: the focus on Kuka Digital, technology developed to digitize the entire production lifecycle—from the first 3D simulation to connectivity and data analysis, and including the use of artificial intelligence for a fully digitized and automized shopfloor. Included is software to support robotic simulation and programming, as well as robot networking accomplished with Kuka.iiQoT for a completely data-driven factory.

A highlight: Using Photoneo's Bin Picking Studio software, demonstrated via a Kuka KR Cybertech-2 robot programmed to pick partially machined spur gears from a randomly assorted bin, and then place the gears onto portable part trays. Then, a model KR Agilus-2 machine-tending robot picked the parts from the trays for simulated processing through a vertical milling machine.
