AutoForm Group Acquires Stampack GmbH

AutoForm Engineering GmbH, provider of software solutions for stamping and body-in-white assembly processes, has announced the acquisition of Stampack GmbH. Stampack’s specialized expertise and software portfolio, most notably in explicit solver technology and solid-element simulations, complement AutoForm’s comprehensive range of solutions, creating new opportunities for innovation and customer value, according to AutoForm officials.
Stampack’s software is built on explicit solver technology that efficiently handles cases involving rapid deformation and complex contact changes. The software allows for reliable validation of forming processes for parts with thick sheets, small radii or reduced material thickness. By complementing its software product line with Stampack’s software, AutoForm, officials say, can better support its current customers, including LogoPress customers, in addressing their sheet metal-forming challenges while also expanding its customer footprint in automotive, aircraft, household and electrical industries.
In addition, the acquired technology will be able to address new fields of application such as structural dynamics, ballistic and defense, and complex assemblies in industries such as shipbuilding, construction, energy and infrastructure through its explicit solver technology and solid-element simulation.
“By combining our complementary knowhow, we can expand our portfolio and deliver even greater value to existing and new customers across the automotive, aerospace, household-appliance, electrical and other industries that we do not currently serve,” says Olivier Leteurtre, AutoForm Group CEO.
Adds Dr. Luca Hornung, CEO of Stampack GmbH and former owner: “Stampack’s technology and market focus complement AutoForm’s business and open new opportunities for AutoForm. In addition, we will leverage AutoForm’s experience and resources to scale up Stampack’s deep market penetration in German-speaking countries on a global scale.”
