AutoForm Acquires Logopress
AutoForm, a Swiss provider of software solutions for the sheetmetal industry, has acquired Logopress, a French provider of die-design software for the tool-and-die industry. With the merger comes syner- gies from a technical stand- point, as the two product lines and development teams are complementary.
“We have been observing AutoForm products with high regard for many years,” says Yves Thizy, Logopress general manager. “We have met prospects and long-standing customers who considered the combination of Logopress3 and AutoForm software as the perfect solution for their simu- lation and tool-design needs.”
“With the integration of Logopress into AutoForm, we can enlarge our product port- folio,” says Markus Thomma, corporate marketing director at AutoForm. “Through sharing and combining our mutual know-how, we can better serve our customers.”
Coe Press Equipment Feeds Goodman Manufacturing Presses
Coe Press Equipment, Ster- ling Heights, MI, has complet- ed the installation of 10 coil feed lines for HVAC provider Goodman Manufacturing. The equipment joins nine other Coe lines previously installed at the Goodman facility in Daikin, TX.
All of the lines, except one, are comprised of a standard motorized uncoiler, servo feed with ServoMaster touch- screen controller, and pull- through straightener in width
capacities from 24 to 60 in. Additionally, Coe supplied installation, startup and onsite training.
Serapid Announces Asian Subsidiary
Serapid Group, a global provider of lifts, quick-die- change and horizontal-trans- fer systems with United States operations in Sterling Heights, MI, has opened a new region- al office in Singapore, with Robert Degenkolb as manag- ing director of Singapore Pty. Ltd. Ivan Seigneur, transferred from Serapid France, joins Degenkolb as technical man- ager, along with Ms. Yu Rong Chen, sales manager, China.

Penn Stainless Products Installs Plasma Cutter
Penn Stainless Products (PSP), Quakertown, PA, recent- ly installed a Koike Aronson Versagraph Millennium-series plasma-cutting system at its Jackson Center, PA, facility. The system utilizes Hyper- therm HPR800XD HyPerfor- mancePlasma technology for clean, consistent cuts to 2.5 in. thick, and features a cut- ting envelope of 10 by 40 ft. This latest addition is PSP’s third plasma cutter.
Rocklin Manufacturing Transforms Historic Building
Rocklin Manufacturing, a Sioux City, IA, provider of micro welders and laser markers, moved back to a renovated building that once headquar- tered the company. Rocklin founder I.J. Rocklin had pur- chased the building in 1942, back when the company made
agricultural equipment. Needing more room, the
company decided to renovate the building, which is located adjacent to Rocklin’s current headquarters.
Recognized with an award by the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce for its $1.4-million renovation effort, Rocklin hopes to have the building (built in 1812) listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Quintus Technologies Provides Press to Chinese Auto-Parts Supplier
A Chinese supplier of exte- rior automotive parts, Minth Group, is adding a high-pres- sure Flexform press from Quintus Technologies, a provider of metalforming equipment headquartered in Västerås, Sweden. The press will be used for prototype development for a product line that trims decorative parts, body structural parts and seat-frame systems. The machine’s hydroforming process requires only one rigid tool half, generating signifi- cant tool cost savings and eliminating several forming operations. The Minth Group has more than 30 production facilities throughout China as well as the United States (Detroit), Thailand, Mexico, Japan and Germany.

Shimco Receives Two Industry Certificates
Shimco, a Cambridge, Ontario, Canada-based provider of precision parts, recently received two industry certificates: the AS9100D revised Quality Management System (QMS) standard for the
aviation, space and defense sector based on ISO 9001:2015 (Shimco was previ- ously certified under the AS9100C standard), and recer- tification under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
Both certifications demon- strate Shimco’s commitment to high-quality standards in the manufacture of laminated metallic and non-metallic sheets, laminated and solid shims, taper fillers and detailed components.
Solar Atmospheres Obtains Multiple Certifications
All four Solar Atmospheres facilities recently obtained cer- tifications to AS9100 Revision D and ISO9001:2015. The facilities are located in Souder- ton, PA; Hermitage, PA; Fontana, CA; and Greenville, SC.

Brian Borchardt cov- ers Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Canada. Manny Ortiz covers Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas.
Cincinnati Incorporated (CI) has announced two Midwest sales engineers: Nick Thiel- mann and Eric Blaisman. The appointments continue CI’s expansion of its sales and service teams.
Trumpf Inc, Farmington, CT, has named Roger Michaud product manager for TruPunch and TruMatic Products.
