SnapLockTM Increases Throughput 85%
Eliminates Secondary Operations.
Case in point: a manufacturer of HVAC products made two sizes of electrical boxes in batches of 100-150 per week. The boxes required multiple fabrication operations, were shipped out for painting and welding, and then returned for the finishing touches. With their customer’s quick turnaround requirements, this was problematic. Upon consultation, Mate Sales Engineer Paul Yungner recommended Mate’s SnapLockTM tool that produces self-locking, spring loaded tabs that snap securely into pre-punched holes. Using SnapLock increased throughput 85%, eliminated the secondary painting and welding operations, and also reduced the number of components needed to make the box from 3 to 1.
