Gas Springs for High-Temperature Tasks
Hyson Products, Brecksville, OH, has introduced a series of nitrogen gas springs engineered to withstand high temperatures—to 248 F. The springs come in two models—MT16 and MT24— with threaded upper cylinders for easy mounting. Four other models complete the line and feature initial forces from 675 to 2100 lb. Zapp Tooling Alloys Opens U.S. Operations
German-based Robert Zapp Werk- stofftechnik GmbH, a distributor of PM materials for the European and Asian tool- ing markets, has opened Zapp Tooling Alloys, Inc., in Summerville, SC. The new location—18,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and office space—carries ZPM-brand tool and high-speed steels in plate, round and flat bars, in several alloys including equivalent alloys to CPM 3V, 9V, 10V and S90V.
