Colt Automation Under New Ownership
Press-automation equipment manu- facturer Colt Automation, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, was recently sold to a private consortium. The firm remains under the helm of general manager Rick Adams. Colt Automation manufactures coil-handling equipment including coil cars, upenders, uncoiler reels and cra- dles; press-feed equipment such as straighteners and roll feeders; and servo-transfer systems.
ERP/CRM Software Suppliers Merge
CDC Software, Atlanta, GA, and Con- sona Corp., Indianapolis, IN, have merged and formed a new company called Aptean. The company provides enterprise software for on-premise and cloud deployment of enterprise-resource planning (ERP), customer-relationship management (CRM), supply-chain man- agement (SCM) and other functions.
Texas Fabricating Companies Join Forces
Anchor Fabrication, Ltd., Fort Worth, TX, has acquired all of the assets and operations of DaveCo Industries, Inc., Garland, TX. Anchor, family owned, oper- ates four locations in North Texas with more than 300,000 combined sq. ft. and more than 400 employee. It will continue to operate DaveCo at its cur- rent facility under the DaveCo Industries name and will retain all employees, including Mark Helterbrand as vice presi- dent of business development.
Mayfran Acquired
by Japanese Manufacturer
Cleveland, OH-based Mayfran Interna- tional has been acquired by Tsubakimo- to Chain Co., Osaka, Japan, a manufac- turer of industrial chains and power-transmission products. Mayfran manufactures engineered solutions for scrap and coolant management, and material-handling systems for metal- working and other applications.
Dover Hydraulics Acquires Metal-Fab Shop
Dover Hydraulics, Dover, OH, special- ists in hydraulic-equipment service and repair, has acquired Gross Welders and Fabricators, New Philadelphia, OH, and renamed the company Dover Fabrication and Burn, Inc. The acquisition will allow Dover to expand its inhouse and portable welding services, and grow its metal-fabrication offerings. The firm serves customers in the gas, oil, steel, mining and construction industries.
Michigan Distributor Takes on Coe Press Lineup Coe Press Equipment, Sterling
Heights, MI, has added Midwest Press and Automation LLP to its distributor net- work, serving the state of Michigan. Mid- west Press maintains sales offices in Clinton Twp. and Grand Ledge MI, and a repair and rebuild facility in Caledonia, MI.
Victor Technologies Acquires CNC-Controller Manufacturer
Robotronic Oy, the parent company of shape-cutting controller manufacturer ProMotion Controls, Inc., has been acquired by Victor Technologies, St. Louis, MO. ProMotion, Medina, OH, also supplies nesting software, torch-height controls and associated products for cutting systems employing plasma, oxy- fuel, laser, waterjet and router technolo- gy. ProMotion Controls president and CEO J. P. Kinos joins Victor Technologies as vice president brand management, automated plasma. Victor Technologies will incorporate all of the acquired tech- nology into its Thermal Dynamics auto- mated plasma-cutting brand.

Water Works Manufacturing, LLC, Cambridge, MN, has acquired Interlaken Technology, Chaska, MN, a manufacturer of production press equipment for hydro- forming and hot stamping, as well as machines for leak, impulse and burst testing.
