New End-Loading Fiber-Laser Cutting System

CyLaser will showcase its new CY2D L3015 end-loaded compact fiber-laser plate- cutting system, designed for simple integration with material-handling automation. The machine fea- tures a 60 by 120- in. dual-table architecture with integral hydraulic pallet changer. With sliding doors on the front and rear of the machine, operators can access the entire table, which eliminates the need to shuttle the table in and out for part inspection or other tasks. Use it to cut 1-in. carbon steel, 3⁄4-in. stainless and aluminum, and 5⁄16-in. brass and copper. The pallet
changer can handle loads weighing as much as 2000 lb., with a 35-sec. cycle time.

Dengensha America will demonstrate its Flexwave capacitive discharge welding (CDW) machine, and corresponding flexible Flexwave waveform technology, combining the capabilities of CDW and a 15,000-Hz bipolar medium-frequency
converter (MFC). Among the benefits attendees will view firsthand: optimum weld quality, easy-to-set weld param- eters and energy savings. Thermal dis- tortion is minimized, and welds are made with relatively high current and short weld times.
Flexwave technology provides direct-current configuration of weld- current values, which simplifies the process of setting parameters. The technology also maximizes waveform flexibility, which allows necessary parameter settings such as tempering, demagnetization and upslope. www.dengensha.com
