Full-time Tool & Die Maker • Texas
Growing medium-sized manufacturer, with low turnover, is seeking a full-time tool and die maker. We are looking for a motivated self-starter that is familiar with tool room equipment. Some of the duties may include:
• Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications; make adjustments as necessary.
• File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together.
• Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or mod- ify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
• Develop and design new tools and dies.
• Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies, based on specifications.
• High level of mechanical ability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail.
