Simpac America Launches Acquisition Strategy to Expand its North American Service Division

Press manufacturer Simpac America, Troy, MI, the North American subsidiary of South Korea’s Simpac Inc., announced plans to invest more than $1 million to hire 15 additional employees during the next few years. That work started recently with the hiring of senior mechanic specialist Gwanghaeng Lee, who has more than 18 yr. of experience in press installations, trial-runs and automation processes, including tandem-line setup and calibration of automated systems, and optimization and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and servomechanical operations. In addition, the firm recently hired Brian Lee as its new sales and service manager, to focus on improving internal/external communications, logistics and quality assurance, and coordinate and manage all field-service activities including repairs, rigging, installation and commissioning.
