T.J. Snow on the Move
T.J. Snow Co., a manufac- turer of resistance-welding equipment, has moved to a larger building on 12 acres of real estate located next to the Chattanooga, TN, airport. The company’s 65 employ- ees now work in a 52,000- sq.-ft. single-level climate- controlled facility, having previously worked out of three separate buildings.
United Performance
Metals on the Move
The California branch of United Performance Metals has moved to a new facility in La Mirada to accommodate growth in the region. The firm supplies materials to cus- tomers in the aerospace, automotive, power genera- tion, oil and gas and medical industries, among others.
Stainless-Steel Service Center Adds Plate Laser
Penn Stainless Products, Quakertown, PA, has installed a Tanaka 6-kW laser-cutting machine capa- ble of cutting stainless-steel sheet and plate to 1.125-in. thick, with maximum work- piece size of 13 by 62 ft. The Tanaka TF6000 machine, which employs its stainless- steel nitrogen cutting sys- tem, is one of only two oper- ating in North America.

Now starring in the fabri- cation shop of Marlin Steel Wire Products, Baltimore, MD: a new Trumpf TruBend 3120 press brake—132-ton bending force, 122-in. bend- ing length and bend accuracy
of 10 microns and 0.25 deg. Marlin performs custom wire and sheetmetal fabrication and manufactures custom wire and mesh baskets.
Certifications
E&E Manufacturing, Livo- nia, MI, has earned the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for nonferrous and ferrous alloys, to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standards. The certification allows E&E to perform certified testing using a range of processes, including hardness, micro- structure, case depth, micro- and macro-etching and sur- face condition testing, as well as perform nondestruc- tive tests such as magnetic particle and liquid dye pene- trant. E&E produces stamp-
ings, fasteners and assem- blies for the automotive, mili- tary and industrial markets.
The Performance Review Institute (PRI) has awarded Nadcap accreditation to Metco Metal Finishing, Phoenix, AZ. Nadcap seeks to “provide international, unbiased, independent man- ufacturing process and prod- uct assessments and certifi- cation services for the purpose of adding value, reducing total cost and facili- tating relationships between subscribers and suppliers.” Metco, part of The Lindgren Group of metal-finishing com- panies, offers chemical fin- ishing, electroplating, mechanical finishing and laser part-marking services.
