The Latest/Greatest Tool Steels
Bohler-Uddeholm Booth 2913
Bohler-Uddeholm, Elgin, IL, will showcase several innovative tool and die steels, including ESR-remelted alloys Uddeholm Caldie and Bohler K340 Isodur. Caldie exhibits high toughness and good wear resistance, and is well suited for blanking applications where high ductility and toughness are needed to prevent chipping and cracking. K340 Isodur has better toughness than AISI D2 and better wear resistance than AISI A2, and proves an excellent choice when working with materials where adhesive wear is prevalent, such as stainless steel, mild steel and copper alloys.
