PMA to Host Inaugural Women in Manufacturing Symposium
Be part of history and join more than 150 women executives, managers and supervisors as they gather in Cleve- land, OH, on October 25-26, 2011, at the first-ever annual Women in Manufactur- ing Symposium.
This unique networking and educa- tional event, designed exclusively for women who have chosen a career in the manufacturing industry, will provide an opportunity for participants to share perspectives, network with colleagues and hear from leading female executives in the manufacturing sector. The event will feature seminars on how women can improve their leadership and communi- cation skills and participate in mentor- ing programs.
The keynote address will be given by Moira Forbes, vice president and pub- lisher of ForbesWoman—a multi-media platform serving successful women in business and leadership. The symposium also will feature panel discussions on “Manufacturing Best Practices” and “The Importance of Sponsoring and Mentoring.” Panelists include represen- tatives from high-profile manufacturers including Boeing, Ford Motor Company, GE Appliances and American Greetings.
“The first-ever PMA Women in Man- ufacturing brings together women in manufacturing to focus on best practices and interaction that will provide another platform for engaging the industry,” said Kellie Johnson, president of ACE Clear- water Enterprises and board member of the National Association of Manufac- turers. “Manufacturing is at a pivotal point in our nations’ history. This event rep- resents productive knowledge, innovation and enterprise and will help shape the future of manufacturing through involve-
ment in policy, education and networking.” Make plans to join other women man- ufacturers on October 25-26 for this historic event. View full program details and register to attend at www.wom- eninmanufacturing.org. Contact Allison Grealis at 216/901-8800 or
