As much as they tried, organizers of the Formnext 2020 additive-manufacturing (AM) event finally decided that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and rising infection rates, along with increasing travel restrictions, that they would not be able to safely bring the AM community together in person. In its place: Formnext Connect, a virtual event planned for November 10-12, 2020. In this comprehensive, multimedia event, exhibitors will provide technology presentations, and attendees also can attend an extensive online supporting program—"safe and comfortable any place in the world," notes the event website. A unique and valuable option for attendees: AI-powered matchmaking, a service that matches exhibitors and visitors based on their profiles and registration details.
