Slitting and Slit-Coil Packaging Line Installed in Mexico
November 1, 2010CommentsBraner/Loopco, Schiller Park, IL, has installed and commissioned a ½- by 72-in. single-loop slitting and slit-coil packaging line at the Villacero steel-service center in Monterrey, Mexico. The line features a turret-head slitter with two quick-change heads, pushbutton tooling lockup, variable tensioning and automatic slit-coil handling. It can process grade 80 hot-rolled black and pickled steel, and cold-rolled coils from 0.9 to 12.7 mm thick.
