Oklahoma to Welcome New Canoo EV Plant

Torrance, CA-based automotive startup Canoo announced plans to launch electric-vehicle (EV) production at an existing 630,000-sq.-ft. plant in Oklahoma City, OK.  It expects to initially use 500,000 sq. ft. of the plant and hire 500 employees, with plans to achieve an annual production rate of 20,000 units by year end. It will be the second Canoo facility in the state, following the development of a 400-acre campus in Pryor, OK, to build battery modules as well as vehicles.
