The tooling market offers optimal applications for additive manufacturing with increasing production demands, short run series and shorter lead times. In response to this need, Voestalpine AG and its high-performance metals division companies continue to launch new products. Last year Uddeholm launched AM Corrax powder, specifically designed with the needs of plastic injection molders in mind. Purpose-made for AM with a unique set of properties, the powder reportedly combines superior corrosion resistance combined with high hardness. Meanwhile, Böhler offers its Ampo product line of tool steel, high-speed steel, corrosion-resistant steel and nickel-alloy AM powders.
