Fabrication Strategy Summit
Save the Date
Wednesday, May 21 - Thursday, May 22, 2025 | Chicago/Northbrook, IL
NEW from MetalForming magazine and the Precision Metalforming Association is the Fabrication Strategy Summit!
This two-day dynamic, interactive event promises to facilitate in-depth discussions through a series of targeted roundtables. Each facilitated roundtable centers on a unique, timely topic critical to the continued success of sheet metal fabricators:
- Design for manufacture
- Scalable process integration via software and automation
- Smart manufacturing/Industry 4.0
- The transition from high-volume low-mix production to low-volume (and prototype) high-mix work
- …and more.
The format, which includes thought-leadership keynote addresses, will allow for meaningful dialogue and networking opportunities, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing and encouraging attendees to engage with the subject matter.
Attendees will come away with practical advice they can take back to their manufacturing facilities to help improve productivity and efficiency, as they work to create finished products from sheet stock.
If you operate or plan on operating laser, plasma or waterjet cutting equipment, bending or folding machines, punching machines, welding equipment, automation equipment and more, this event is for you!
The event will take place at the Hilton Chicago/Northbrook.

Panel Discussion #3: Digital Transformation—The Role of Artificial Intelligence at Every Level of the Company
2:30 p.m.
The Role of Artificial Intelligence at Every Phase of the Company
Artificial Intelligence, Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and 5.0, etc…the terminology alone can be confusing, let alone trying to understand what it all means to sheet metal fabricators. This session will illuminate for fabricators what it all means, focusing on how artificial intelligence already is being used to improve operational performance. Applications include scheduling, nesting, machine programming, inspection and quality control, and predictive maintenance.
