Puritan Magnetics, Oxford, MI, introduces its line of belt-free magnetic conveyors, designed to convey stamping scrap, knockouts or chips and turnings from lathes, mills, presses or other metalworking machinery. The virtually maintenance-free, belt-free design eliminates the associated jamming, tearing and premature wear associated with belt-type conveyors. Internal magnetic assemblies attached to heavy-duty roller chain travel around the inside of the conveyor body. The magnetic field projects through the stainless-steel conveying surface, attracting parts or scrap to its surface. As the magnet assemblies travel inside, the ferrous objects are conveyed externally along the stainless-steel slide bed until they are discharged.
