Goizper, Sarasota, FL, has developed a new series of safety brakes designed exclusively for servo presses used in the metalforming industry. Its new 6.49 safety brakes feature a drainage system to prevent oil-leak damage from a worn piston seal, by collecting and returning it to the oil circuit; a flexible mounting system that allows the brake to be assembled between the servo motor and the press frame, at the end of the shaft or even on another shaft; and a safety valve for quick oil-pressure release and system response.
