Safety Interface Controller for Pressure-Sensitive Safety Mats, Edges, Bumpers and Switches

Tapeswitch Corp., Farmingdale, NY, introduces its PSSR-2 safety interface controller for monitoring any safety switch, mat, edge, and bumper system product with an end-of-the-line resistor at a CAT3 PLd SIL2 safety level performance. Among its capabilities:

• Resistor monitoring

• IP20 protection rating safety controller

• Control unit is 22.5-mm DIN rail mountable  

• Three output contacts; force-guided relays and two normally open (safety) 1 x normally closed (monitor) contacts

• Manual or auto reset

• CAT 3 PLd SIL2 performance level, EN 13849

Compared to four-wire products, the controller allows for less wiring and simplified installation, according to company officials.
