Aimed at demonstrating the capabilities of its TwinServo press technology, Schuler has broken ground on a new 6500-sq-m tech center in Tianjin, China, slated to open in spring 2015. The center will house a 1600-metric-ton press that, come 2016, Schuler expects to use for stamping parts for the Chinese market for dual-clutch and automatic transmissions.
