OMCG Installs Wire-EDM Machine for Tool Cutting
July 1, 2008Comments OMCG NA, Bensenville, IL, a supplier of slideforming and CNC wire- and strip-forming machines, has installed an Agie wire-EDM machine for the manufacture of tooling. The unit can cut tool steels to 4 in. thick, and taper tools for compound bending. It will easily cut the complicated profiles of plate cams to allow fine-tuning of the multislide-forming process. OMCG machines, manufactured by OMCG Spa of Italy, can handle strip to 4 in. wide and wire to 5⁄8 in. in dia.
