Desktop Metal Qualifies Inconel 625 for its Studio System

Desktop Metal has announced that it has qualified the use of Inconel 625 (IN625) for the company’s Studio System additive manufacturing (AM) machine. IN625 is a high-performance nickel alloy known for high levels of strength, temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.

Mantle Unveils Collaborations Based on its TrueShape Printing Technology

Mantle announced collaborations based on 3D-printed tooling inserts produced via its TrueShape metal-AM technology. This includes work with Westminster Tool that demonstrates the value of conformal cooling; with Wepco Plastics that demonstrates improved part finishes than those achievable with aluminum tooling; and with Precision Laser Technology and Craftsman Mfg., showing that Mantle’s H13 material machines and welds similarly to conventional H13 tool steel.

Admatec Metal and Ceramic Printers Delivered to Lab in Italy

Two Admatec Admaflex 130 AM machines, one for metal and one for ceramic, have been delivered and installed at the Sustainable Materials and Industrial Processes 4.0 laboratory of ENEA in the Lombardy region of Italy. The laboratory, one of two recently opened in the Kilometro Rosso Science and Technology Park, offers organizations sustainable and innovative manufacturing technologies in the field of AM.
