3D Printing Metals Market to Grow at a 31.5 Percent CAGR
February 1, 2017Comments
The global market for 3D printing of metals is projected to reach $776.8 million by 2020, for a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 31.5 percent. Driving the growth are applications in the aerospace and defense industries, particularly the manufacture of aircraft engines and components. This according to analysts at MarketsandMarkets.
While North America represented the major market for 3D printing of metals in 2015, it’s the Asia-Pacific region that’s estimated to be the fastest-growing market from 2015 to 2020. Metal-powder and printing-machine manufacturers are expanding their presence in that region to meet the expected rise in demand from end-user industries and new investments from engineering and manufacturing companies.
