June 15, 2023

IperionX Limited, Charlotte, NC, has agreed to a Scope of Work (SoW) to supply titanium components for Ford Performance—Ford Motor Co.’s high-performance and racing division. IperionX’s will provide additively manufactured parts printed from its 100-percent-recycled, low-carbon titanium, for use on a variety of performance vehicles including the F150 Raptor, Bronco Raptor, Mustang Mach 1 and Shelby GT500. Ford and IperionX have been actively collaborating to design, test and additively manufacture a series of high-quality titanium components for future Ford Performance production vehicles.

The titanium components are set to undergo a comprehensive finishing study to assess a range of potential surface finish of parts. The insights gained from the SoW are expected to guide the final design and unit costs for a variety of low-carbon titanium components.
