Wila, a producer of tooling for sheet metal fabrication, has relocated its North American headquarters and established manufacturing facilities in Louisville, KY. Louisville's central location, company officials say, offers seamless access to major transportation networks. Its robust manufacturing industry, coupled with a skilled workforce and a business-friendly environment, aligns with Wila’s strategic vision for growth.

WIla B.V. boasts a workforce of 350 employees, with two factories in the Netherlands and subsidiaries in the United States and China. It specializes in clamping, crowning and tooling systems for press brakes.

By establishing local manufacturing operations, WIla aims to reduce lead times, enhance flexibility, and provide tailored solutions that address the needs of the region's manufacturing sector. Says Wila CEO Hans Willemsen, "This strategic move will allow us to strengthen our market presence, improve customer service, and further collaborate with our valued partners in North America. At the same time, Wila contributes to the U.S. reshoring policies to create more industrial value in the nation. We are confident that our investment in Louisville will accelerate our growth and enable us to better serve the evolving needs of our customers and economic policymakers."

The new state-of-the-art facility in Louisville, in terms of robotization and digitalization, will leverage cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and create employment opportunities for local talent.
