Fiber-Laser Effortlessly Cuts 1-in. Steel Plate

Cy-Laser America, Sterling Heights, MI, a subsidiary of Cy-Laser S.r.L., Schio, Italy, has introduced a new line of end-load fiber lasers to North America. The CY2DL series includes six models with work areas ranging from as small as 4 by 8 ft. to 10 by 40 ft.
The first machine in the series can be seen in operation at the new Cy-Laser Demonstration Center in Sterling Heights, and features a work area measuring 5 by 10 ft. The new model CY2DL3015 is available as a 2- to 6-kW machine and can cut anything from sheetmetal to 1-in.-thick steel plate, as well as ¾-in. aluminum and stainless steel.
