The Bradbury Group, Moundridge, KS, a manufacturer of leveling, cutoff, punching, folding and roll forming equipment, recently completed additions to its assembly and testing areas, and currently is expanding its inventory-storage area.
“Last year we began an exciting journey at our plant-2 facility,” says Matt Werner, senior manager of global marketing and sales. “We finished a project that allowed us to extend the three center bays by 150 ft., resulting in an additional 22,500 sq. ft. of assembly and test floorspace.” The firm later added another 15,000 sq. ft. With an extra 10 ft. of ceiling height, the expansion allows for an increase of vertical storage space, Werner explains, allowing it to use 16-ft. racking instead of the existing 10-ft. racking.
“To further enhance efficiency, we also will install a 20-ton overhead crane that offers an additional 10 ft. of crane height for assembly and test purposes,” Werner adds.
