Prime Controls’ DS-Flex—a Configurable, Versatile Double-Sheet-Detection System

Prime Controls, Dayton, OH, has unveiled its DS-Flex multi-channel, flexible, double-sheet-detection system, offering users flexibility by detecting double sheets of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, and the presence or absence of sheet metal.

The system provides adaptable configuration options—operate two independent contacting probes, two pairs of independent non-contacting pass-thru probes, or a combination of one single contacting probe and one pair of non-contacting pass-thru probes. 

DS-Flex, company representatives note, proves ideal for automation applications, robotics, automated destackers, sheet feeders, and in-fixture (poke-a-yoke) applications where detection of double sheets and accurate sheet detection is critical.
