Andritz to Supply Cut-to-Length Line to Olympic Steel in Minneapolis

Andritz has received an order from Olympic Steel, Inc. to supply a cut-to-length line for its metal service center in Minneapolis, MN. Commissioning is scheduled for Q4 2025.
The line has a coil capacity of 0.135 by 60 in. and 60,000 lb., and operates at 300 ft./min. It can process material with yield strength to 80,000 PSI, including cold-rolled, pickled-and-oiled, stainless and coated materials. Features include a heavy-duty precision leveler designed for increased separating loads, a split leveler drive system, and a high-performance roll-feed system. The production shear can yield 60 cuts/min., with sheet inspection following the shear. Also included: a reject stacking mode, air-float stacker and weigh scale, and safety fencing with gate interlocks.
