Fiber-Laser Effortlessly Cuts 1-in. Steel Plate

Cy Laser America, Sterling Heights, MI, introduces the CY2DL series of fiber-laser cutting machines—six models with work areas ranging from 4 by 8 to 10 by 40 ft.

The first machine in the series can be seen in operation at the new Cy Laser Demonstration Center in Sterling Heights, and features a work area measuring 5 by 10 ft. The new model CY2DL3015 is available as a 2- to 6-kW machine and can cut anything from sheetmetal to 1-in.-thick steel plate, as well as ¾-in. aluminum and stainless steel.
