GF Machining Solutions Opens New Medical Center of Competence

As demand for implants, surgical devices and other medical components grows, GF Machining Solutions will intensify its support of North American medical manufacturers with the opening of a new Medical Center of Competence at its Lincolnshire, IL, facility. The center will provide manufacturers supplying the medical industry with applications support along with production technologies including precision milling, EDM, laser texturing, micromachining and automation.

GF Machining Solutions will celebrate the grand opening of the new center on April 19-20.  Visitors will be able to tour the 50,000-sq.-ft. facility, experience firsthand some the most advanced technologies in use to produce medical components, and learn about the company’s fully automated order-to-production system.

Also as part of the grand-opening celebration, the nearby GF Machining Solutions Microlution facility will conduct factory tours and product demonstrations. Highlighted technologies include femto laser-assisted machining.
