New BLM Tube Laser Cuts Work to 6-in. Dia.

BLM Group USA, Novi, MI, has launched the new LTX new tube laser, for cutting tubular profiles, special sections and open profiles from 0.5 to 6-in. dia. Sporting heightened productivity in minimal space, the LTX features a bundle loader to automate processes such as cutting to length, notching, coping and mitering. The machine also can handle production start-ups and changeovers automatically, making it user-friendly for operators of any skill level. Program the machine with BLM Group’s ArTube CAD/CAM software, coupled with its Prometheus MES software.
After processing, the LTX provides three unload destinations to help sort parts, providing flexibility for large part mixes. And, its large sliding doors provide operators with clear access to the working line and cutting area.
The LTX supports BLM Group’s proprietary technologies:
- Active Scan: Scans tubes for abnormalities such as twist and bow and makes automatic adjustments.
- Active Weld: Scans tubes for weld seams and adjusts automatically.
- Active Focus: Performs automatic focus-position adjustments during cutting to optimize performance and quality.
- Thread Inserts: A motorized tool to automatically install threaded inserts (M4-M12).
- Clean Tube: A device that provides constant suction during cutting to collect fumes and spatter.
