Help the American Welding Society Celebrate April as National Welding Month

The American Welding Society’s (AWS) theme for this year’s National Welding Month (April): "Connected by Welding: Bridging Communities and Industries." Since 1996, AWS has recognized April as National Welding Month, celebrating welding’s essential role in the world. 

“National Welding Month is an opportunity to highlight the welding profession’s impact and inspire future generations to explore careers in our industry,” says Cassie Burrell, AWS VP of marketing, communications & strategy. “From training our workforce to building structures and products that keep the world moving, welding offers limitless possibilities for those ready to take up the torch.”

Throughout April, AWS will host special activities, social media campaigns and exclusive promotions to engage welders, students, educators and industry professionals. Among the festivities: Instagram posts (@americanweldingsociety) by welders, including AWS President Richard L. Holdren, sharing personal journeys in welding; and a “What It’s Like to Be a Welder” video series presenting a behind-the-scenes look at various welding career paths.
