Trans-Matic Mfg. Co. Inc. Announces Executive Leadership Transition

Co., a manufacturer of precision metal components and assemblies headquartered in Holland, MI, has promoted Jeff Sotok and Adam Briggs to the role of chief operating officer, effective January 1, 2024. In this newly created role, both will each take the title of president and as partners will assume executive operating authority of the company. Sotok previously served as executive vice president of global manufacturing, and Briggs as executive vice president of sales and marketing.    

Sotok, who joined Trans-Matic in 1998, has provided executive leadership in multiple areas of operations and to the firm’s international operations in Suzhou, China, and Monterrey, Mexico. He has an undergraduate degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Briggs joined Trans-Matic in 2004 after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He has excelled in various roles including product launch, as international project manager, sales account manager, director of operations, vice president of U.S. operations, and most recently leading Trans-Matic’s sales and marketing efforts.

Trans-Matic also has promoted P. J. Thompson to chief executive officer. Thompson joined Trans-Matic in 1997 and has served as the company’s president for 22 yr.
