The Ashland Aluminum processing facility in Fowlerville, MI (40 miles east of Detroit), is flush with recent technology upgrades—an energy-efficient furnace, new electronics, upgraded gauge controls and environmental improvements. Its rolling mill provides coil in three alloys—1100, 3003 and 5052, from 0.010 to 0.190 in. thick and 4.00 to 20.00 in. wide.
